Recite to Rise (Quran Education)

Most Quran teaching services in Australia are often run by mosques or not-for-profit organisations by volunteer staff and usually require reasonable student fees for the facilities’ operating purposes. However, at times even these ongoing fees can be unaffordable for some families.

Through the Recite to Rise program, we hope to revive the love of the Quran in the hearts of the Australian Muslims community. We aim to achieve this by providing direct support to partnered teaching services and families to help ensure Quran education is available to children who their family are not able to afford Quran school fees.

The Recite to Rise program is structured whereby NZF provides grants to the local Quran schools directly, as well children of families in need.

We hope that this program encourages Australian Muslim families, and their children, do not shy away from starting or continuing their journey to learn about the Quran due to their inability to afford lessons. Specifically, children of asylum seekers/refugees, single parents and families affected by domestic violence, or from families who have been assessed and recommended from schools.

Support provided through this program includes, but is not limited to, financial aid to access learning opportunities or resources, Quran classes, community activities to encourage reconnection with the Quran and more. The long-term goal of the Recite to Rise program is also to develop guidelines for accreditation of a Quran curriculum. National Zakat Foundation is in the process of establishing a Quran School Association Council (QSAC) to overlook and develop accreditation and certification standards. 

The application and validation process is done by the NZF Team with confidentiality. Any information given will only be used to determine the best way we can help you.

If you are an individual, company, business, service or organisation, you can become a Program Partner by financially supporting and funding our programs, either through the means of Zakat or Sadaqah.

You can also become a Service Partner by providing essential services such as Quran classes, counselling, mentoring, tutoring etc. for our programs.
